first of all some history:
as red bull has a very offensive marketing they are buying sport-club after sport club in any sport. in 2005 red bull owner mateschitz bought the club Austria Salzburg. it was one of the tradiotional clubs in austria. mateschitz decided to change everything so it would fit into the red bull conception. they changed color, name,... the biggest fan-groups of former austria salzburg found a new club and started at the last league. since then they are on the way to the top again and right now they play in 3rd league, after winning their league 4 times in row.
mateschitz wanted to have red bull play in champions league every season, still they couldn't qualify once :-) they won 3 championships since 2005. their biggest defeat was a 0:7 when we played against them in spring 2008 and later on won the championship.
since this mateschitz bought some more clubs and wants to invest more and more money. for the future he wants to have RB Leipzig as his A-Team and RB Salzburg only as kind of a training-team.

everybody here hates RB.

the trainer is huub stevens and unfortunately he is very good. for austria they are playing very good but it's hard to say much more about the team because every summer they are hiring and firing half of the team. this summer they lost quite a good forward who shot 39 goals in season 2008/2009. their best player is the goalkeeper, but he is injured after a hard foul (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCEmy0HV ... re=related at 0:30 you see it quite good)

last weekend we had our first round of the championship. they played only 0:0 in an away game against a very weak opponent. i didn't see the game but as i know they are having problems with scoring the goal. they had a lot of chances but couldn't do it. it seems as they are missing their forward...
